    Position Overview:
    Schultes Precision is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team.

    The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, performing various accounting tasks, and supporting financial reporting processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • General Ledger Maintenance:
    • Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately and timely into the general ledger system.
    • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
    • Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
    • Prepare and send invoices to customers, monitor accounts receivable aging, and follow up on overdue accounts.
    • Financial Reporting:
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
    • Support the financial reporting process by compiling and analyzing financial data.
    • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
    • Monitor budget variances and provide analysis to management as needed.
    • Fixed Assets and Depreciation:
    • Maintain fixed asset records and reconcile to the general ledger.
    • Calculate and record depreciation expenses accurately.
    • Financial Analysis:
    • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management.
    • Compliance and Internal Controls:
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
    • Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as required.
    Qualifications


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.
    • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
