    Description

    The Land Development Engineer/Project Manager will lead and oversee land development projects from conception to completion in Phoenix, Arizona. The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise in civil engineering, excellent project management skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Project Management

    • Lead and manage land development projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
    • Monitor project progress closely from financial and schedule perspectives, identifying and addressing scope creep elements.
    • Promote a positive teamwork environment, motivating and leading a team in a fast-paced setting.
    • Delegate tasks efficiently to allow for increased focus on management responsibilities.

    Technical Expertise:

    • Utilize professional knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices to guide project design and development.
    • Prepare civil engineering design processes, plan sets, and obtain necessary agency approvals.
    • Ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures and schedules throughout project lifecycle.

    Communication and Collaboration:

    • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, both in person and remotely (via videoconferencing, phone, etc.).
    • Foster strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
    • Resolve project-related issues and conflicts in a proactive and diplomatic manner.

    Technical Proficiency:

    • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and Pipe Networks.
    • Utilize technical tools and software to streamline project processes and enhance efficiency.

    Candidate Requirements:

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering field.
    • Professional Engineering License.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience with land development projects, with a proven record of success as a project engineer.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong understanding of civil engineering design processes and plan set preparation.
    • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work accurately, follow procedures and schedules, and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • High level of emotional intelligence and problem-solving skills.
