VP, User Experience - San Francisco, United States - Delinea

    Default job background
    Description

    About Us:
    Delinea, Inc.

is a leading identity security and privileged access management solutions provider that helps make security a seamless experience for the modern, hybrid enterprise.

The company's solutions empower organizations to secure data, code, devices, and cloud infrastructure to help reduce risk, simplify security, and ensure compliance.

Cybersecurity companies are talking about identity security, but their approach is wrong, organizations are still challenged to control who has access to what at a time when users and machine privileges are getting more complex and decentralized, and not within their control.

    Delinea's approach is different.

We believe identity and privilege are the true security perimeter and that's why we built the first unified cloud-native authorization and privilege and data security platform.

As an employer, Delinea has offered freelance and full-time, hybrid work opportunities.

Eligible roles may receive perks and benefits, including an engaging rewards program, health benefits, a long-term stock options program, discretionary time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match.

The company fosters a culture of innovation, respect, and fairness and promises career-defining exposures and experiences to the best and brightest people in the industry that make up its team.

    The Role:

As the VP of User Experience, you will be at the forefront of shaping our user experience strategy and culture.

You will lead a team of talented UX designers, researchers, and specialists to create seamless and innovative user experiences across all our product lines.

Your strategic vision and leadership will ensure our products are not only functional but delightful, setting us apart in the competitive landscape.

    Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a cohesive UX strategy that aligns with the company's objectives and passionate about delighting users.
Lead and expand the UX team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Drive the UX team and engineering toward a consistent pattern-based approach to user interactions and flows.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to integrate UX best practices throughout the product development lifecycle.

Oversee the design and execution of comprehensive user research and usability testing to inform UX decisions and iterate on designs.

Champion accessibility and inclusivity in all aspects of design, ensuring our products meet a diverse range of user needs.
Monitor and analyze user engagement metrics, leveraging insights to drive continuous improvement in UX.

Stay abreast of the latest UX trends, tools, and technologies, incorporating cutting-edge practices to keep our products ahead of the curve.

Communicate UX strategies and insights to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, to drive awareness and support for UX initiatives.

    Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in UX design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing UX teams.

Proven track record of developing and implementing successful UX strategies for digital products.
Extensive experience conducting user research, usability testing, and analyzing user feedback.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of creative professionals.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a talent for articulating design concepts and strategies to diverse audiences.
Deep understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
Deep understanding of both Angular and React
Familiarity with UX design tools (e.g., Figma) and methodologies.

    Delinea Culture & Benefits:

We're passionate problem-solvers doing our part to make the world a safer place.
We invest in people who are smart, self-motivated, and collaborative.
What we offer in return is meaningful work, a culture of innovation and great career progression

At Delinea, our core values are STRONG—Spirited – Trust – Respect – Ownership – Nimble – Global – and guide our behaviors and success.

We believe weaving these core values into our day-to-day actions, and our process for hiring, evaluating, and promoting employees, helps us cultivate a work environment that embraces collaboration and camaraderie.

We take care of our employees.

We offer competitive salaries, a meaningful equity and bonus program, and excellent benefits, including a full suite of medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401(k) matching, ROTH, comprehensive life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, an employee assistance program, generous discretionary time off (DTO), and 12 paid holidays.
