The Planner II for the Montana Construction & Facilities Management Office (CFMO) collaborates with and supports the Montana Army National Guard (MTARNG) in developing viable military construction projects to support the mission of the MTARNG.

This position will work on the development of construction project documentation from $50,000.00 to $90,000,000.00 by means of analyzing requirements, crafting justifications, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting in prioritization.

These activities create project documentation that is competed for funding, and once funded, turns the project over to the execution bureaus of the CFMO.

Substantial efforts in a number of federal databases in data input, editing data, and analyzing data is required.

The Planner II also interprets and applies applicable regulations and other guidance to ensure the project meets all the necessary requirements for funding opportunities.

This position is open until filled. The first review of applications will on April 4, 2024.

Skills required on first day of work:
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to learn and apply databases
Understanding of, and the ability of, making data-driven justifications for projects and actions
Communicate well orally and in the written word

Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, planning, or related discipline

Experience Requirement:
Two years of related experience in planning, staff work, project development, or similar
A combination of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

A minimum of 2 years of college with three or more years' experience or an advanced degree with 1 year of experience.

Position located at Fort Harrison, may require up to 25% travel.
