The Operations Director of TTCA will manage a diverse group of 15 – 20 people and be a key member of the Integration, Operations and Major Projects Team.
The candidate will be responsible for both the daily execution of the operational aspect of TTCA, together with the planning to support the 5 year plan.
The Operations Director will also be responsible for establishing and continually developing deep relationships with TEL customers, partners (including consortia) and with internal development teams at TTCA, the BUs and Corporate R&D.
The successful candidate will also have managed a medium sized operational team in a semiconductor facility, be detail oriented and have a proven track record of execution.
Key functions:
Space Planning:
Working with New York Creates (NYC)to identify appropriate space for new tools and managing office and lab space expansion over the next five years.
Equipment installation:
Working with TEL factories, tool suppliers, subcontractors and NYC to facilitize new tools.
Procurement and shipping/receiving:
Work with TTCA and TEL US personnel to ensure smooth procurement, shipping of wafers, parts and tools and deliveries of TTCA.
WIP management:
Working with TTCA engineers and NYC fab personnel to monitor and address issues with the movement of lots in the NYC line to ensure constant and efficient use of TTCA's WIP.
Office Maintenance:
Ensure that all office systems (Eg: mechanical, electrical and AV) are in order and work with vendors, subcontractors and NYC to fix issues as they occur.
Administrative support:
Manage TTCA's administrative assistants as they coordinate schedules and meetings and support TTCA's daily activities.
EHS:
Work with TEL and NYC EHS to maintain a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage a group with complex responsibilities and multiple external and internal touch points
Areas of responsibilities include:
Safety and Compliance
Drive Safety focus with direct reports and contractors toward an injury and incident free work environment.
Maintain awareness and compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations and oversees the EHS staff on site.
Recruit and develop talent to assure high level of bench strength and manage the team by creating a motivational environment through coaching, communication and annual/semi-annual performance reviews.
Supervise daily operations and priorities of team members and contractors to maintain optimum efficiency along with full safety and regulatory compliance for multi-site operations.
Continuously analyze team processes and performance, introduce industry best practices and initiate/drive internal projects to achieve optimum efficiency
Organizational:
Develop and manage the annual operational budget and control costs to budget.
Establish project management oriented activities for equipment and space review meetings with clear actions, written estimates of costs of all office expansion and equipment installations and modifications, owners and due dates to meet critical deadlines and goals.
Drive facilities/contractor team priorities and schedules in order to meet and/or exceed internal and external deadlines and proactively escalate any concerns, as needed.
Establish and maintain lines of effective communication across the TEL organization to ensure adherence to TEL worldwide protocols and standards.
Track and manage TTCA inventory and assets.
Others:
Interface with EHS, Finance, IT and HR team members
Report to VP – Integration, Operations and Major Programs at TTCA
Domestic and international travel up to ~ 25%
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Science/Engineering/Business Administration, with 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
Experience with project management including project plans and resource scheduling.
Demonstrated record of execution, people management experience and the ability to work in multicultural teams.
Military technical training, MBA and/or PMP certification is preferred.
The ideal candidate will also have had exposure to the Japanese culture and/or language, or have the willingness to learn.
While this is a Director level position, suitable candidates with less experience may be considered, with a career path to Director.
$162, $213,722.54
Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training.
In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
