    OverviewThe Medical Assistant plays a key role in creating a smooth, supportive care experience - keeping supplies stocked, ensuring patients move efficiently through their visits, and partnering closely with physicians and nurses to deliver exceptional care to patients and their families.

    QualificationsCertificationsBasic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 daysMust be through the American Heart Association (AHA)EducationHigh School Diploma or GED (required) ResponsibilitiesPerform routine direct patient‑care duties to support medical and nursing staff during examinations and treatmentsMaintain a safe, clean patient‑care environment and ensure patient privacyCollect and document vital signs for general surgery patientsEnter patient medical history and complete medication reconciliation in the medical recordCollect and properly process patient specimensAssist physicians with office‑based procedures within the MA scope of practiceDecontaminate instruments and prepare them for sterilization in SPD About UsFind it here.

    Compensation and BenefitsThe compensation range for this position is $17.12per hour - $27.73per hour.

    This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health.

    The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
