    Overview


    The Medical Assistant plays a key role in creating a smooth, supportive care experience - keeping supplies stocked, ensuring patients move efficiently through their visits, and partnering closely with physicians and nurses to deliver exceptional care to patients and their families.

    Qualifications

    Certifications
    Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days
    Must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)

    Education
    High School Diploma or GED (required)

    Responsibilities

    Perform routine direct patient‑care duties to support medical and nursing staff during examinations and treatments
    Maintain a safe, clean patient‑care environment and ensure patient privacy
    Collect and document vital signs for general surgery patients
    Enter patient medical history and complete medication reconciliation in the medical record
    Collect and properly process patient specimens
    Assist physicians with office‑based procedures within the MA scope of practice
    Decontaminate instruments and prepare them for sterilization in SPD

    Compensation and Benefits

    The compensation range for this position is $17.12per hour - $27.73per hour.

    This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health.

    The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
