    Description
    OverviewThe Medical Assistant I is responsible for maintaining patient‑care supplies, ensuring the timely movement of patients through the department, and assisting physicians and nurses in delivering optimal care to patients and families


    QualificationsCertifications:
    Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA)

    Education:

    High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent ResponsibilitiesPerform routine direct patient‑care tasks to support medical and nursing staff during examinations and treatments.

    Maintain the patient‑care environment and supplies to ensure privacy, safety, and readiness.
    Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
    Perform visual field testing.
    Obtain vital signs for provider evaluations.
    Assist with lumbar puncture procedures.
    Obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies.
    Stock supplies and clean patient rooms to maintain workflow and safety. About UsFind it here.

    Compensation and BenefitsThe compensation range for this position is $17.12per hour - $27.73per hour.

    This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health.

    The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
