PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Arlington/Crowley ISD Program offers all girls and those that identify as girls programs at schools throughout Arlington/Crowley ISDs to help tween and teen girls navigate the real-life challenges they confront during middle and high school and lay the groundwork for healthy, independent and fulfilling futures.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Arlington/Crowley Program Manager will develop strong foundational knowledge of all program operations within assigned portfolio of programs and will focus on leadership and management, ensuring commitment to the Girls Inc. of Tarrant County experience and adherence to program budgets. The Program Manager will supervise Program Directors within assigned array of programs and serve as the liaison for external partners and volunteers. The Program Manager ensures the entire team delivers high-quality, impactful programs, helping girls to achieve their full potential and grow up strong, bold and smart.
The Arlington/Crowley Program Manager oversees programs that are responsible for serving girls per year at selected schools. This position works 40-45 hours per week, and their schedule will mainly be between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm. During the school year, which includes some Saturdays. Fall, Spring, and Summer Camp schedules are M-F 8 am-6 pm. This position is roughly 50% program administration and planning and 50% administrative.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT/ADMINISTRATION:
Develop program recruitment plans in collaboration with program leadership, and ensure successful implementation of recruitment strategies
Achieve program enrollment targets, and report enrollment metrics on a regular basis
Manage program planning projects and support the development of high-quality lesson plans
Monitor program implementation to ensure success, and recommend program improvements
Create a pro-girl learning environment that is safe, challenging, and engaging
Create positive relationships with girls, parents, and partners, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
Coordinate with leadership team to staff special events and programs
Ensure necessary program data is collected to support grant outcomes and impact; participate in site evaluation visits as related to grant requests
Implement and oversee meaningful volunteer engagements for corporate partners
Represent Girls Inc. at community events to build awareness of mission and programs
Keep abreast of trends in youth development, specifically girls and womens issues, to strengthen knowledge and support programming efforts
Responsible for achieving desired impact, as evidenced by quantitative and qualitative outcomes measurement and continuous program improvement
Ensure compliance of all safety and program quality standards
Monitor spending and adherence to program budgets to ensure consistency and accuracy
Collect and track program fees using Compass 360
Submit program reports as requested; maintain and submit required internal agency documents
Maintain inventory of program supplies, and requisition supplies in a timely manner
Maintain attendance records for participants and volunteers
Ensure proper collection of impact data and administration of outcomes surveys
Monitor facilities, equipment, and vehicles for proper functionality and safety
Ensure necessary program data is collected and input into data systems to support grant outcomes and impact; participate in site evaluation visits as related to grant requests.
STAFF AND VOLUNTEER SUPERVISION:
Supervise Program Coordinators and assigned interns/volunteers.
Utilize volunteers in program delivery; ensure volunteers receive appropriate training; assess and recognize volunteers efforts.
Encourage staff and volunteers to be creative and innovative; inspire and motivate them to explore new and different approaches to keep programs flexible and responsive.
Additional Responsibilities/Activities:
Participate in periodic assessment of own performance; develop professional goals and objectives.
Participate in staff meetings, town halls, principal meetings, work collaboratively with staff to meet goals.
Participate in fundraising and volunteer engagement events as directed.
Engage in approved continuing education opportunities as appropriate.
Perform other duties as requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree, with courses in education, psychology, and/or sociology; special consideration may be given for equivalent experience and personal qualifications in lieu of degree.
Bilingual (Spanish)
Experience managing staff
Experience in youth services or related field, which includes some experience in supervision, facilitation of programming to youth, curriculum & program development, and community relations.
Ability to work evenings and at least two Saturdays in the month
Skilled in working with diverse clients, staff, and communities; ability to facilitate cooperative work.
Ability to communicate with youth and foster their involvement and participation in program planning, problem solving, and decision-making.
Ability to develop, implement, and coordinate programs that are responsive to participants needs and interests.
Ability to inspire, stimulate, and encourage creativity and innovation.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Possess reliable transportation and a valid Texas drivers license.
