    Job Description Summary The Ambulatory Resource Team is the float pool for the ambulatory clinics within the Charleston division of MUSC.

    The RN will be required to float/travel to the different pediatric after-hours clinics in Charleston and the surrounding area. These clinics are open M-F 2pm-10pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am-8pm.

    This position requires a highly motivated and adaptable RN to float to the pediatric walk-in after-hours clinics where they will be tasked with assessing acutely ill children.

    The RN will be delivering high quality care including point of care testing, medication administration, and patient education.

    The RN will also be trained to be the charge nurse for the clinic and oversee the other clinical care team members while also caring for the pediatric patients.

    The Ambulatory Resource Team is the float pool for the ambulatory clinics within the Charleston division of MUSC. The RN will be required to float/travel to the different infusion clinics in Charleston and the surrounding area.

    This position requires a highly motivated and adaptable RN to float to both adult and pediatric clinics where they will be tasked with accessing ports, starting IVs, drawing labs, and administering various IV medications.

    Scheduled Work Hours/Shift:
    Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, no weekends or holidays

    Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse I (New Graduate) assists at the advanced beginner level in providing individualized, goal directed nursing care to patients and families utilizing principles and practices of the nursing process; interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired outcomes.

    Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.

    RN I Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred unless current MUSC employee.

    RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date.

    RN II Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.

    Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

    RN II Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.

    Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
