As a Business Analyst in the Warehouse Department at DSV, you will be responsible for analyzing operational processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Your role involves gathering and analyzing data, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support the department's objectives.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect, compile, and analyze data related to operational processes, including workflow, resource utilization, and performance metrics.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and performance indicators to track key operational metrics and identify trends.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers and stakeholders to implement process improvements and best practices.
  • Work closely with endusers and stakeholders to understand business needs and gather requirements for new systems, tools, or process enhancements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories for IT development teams.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide feedback to ensure systems meet business needs and requirements.
  • Assist in project planning, coordination, and execution for initiatives related to operational process improvement.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines to ensure successful project completion.
  • Communicate with stakeholders at all levels to provide updates on project status, key metrics, and improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and IT teams to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide training and support to endusers on new systems, tools, or processes implemented within the operations department.
  • Develop training materials, user guides, and documentation to support knowledge transfer and adoption.

Educational background / Work experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management information systems, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or project management roles, preferably in the transportation and logistics industry or a related field.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Knowledge of business process modeling techniques and methodologies (e.g., BPMN, Six Sigma).
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or operational software.

Language skills

  • Fluent in English (oral and written)

Computer Literacy

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) and database querying languages (e.g., SQL) is advantageous.

For this position, the expected base pay is
:$57,000 - $77,000 / Annual.

Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
