SUMMARY


The Quality Assurance Assistant performs administrative tasks that support and maintain several elements of the DSV IMS Quality Management System, including document control, training, quality metrics, sustainability, safety, internal audits, and special projects as assigned.

The Quality Assurance Assistant interacts with all departments within DSV Inventory Management Solutions.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates forms, work instructions and process flow charts used in various IMS business processes.
  • Generates various reports and compiles data summaries related to quality programs.
  • Prepares PowerPoint presentations for various training topics, KPI/metrics displays, data summaries, and relevant meetings.
  • Schedules procedure training sessions for applicable employees, tracks attendance and schedules refresher training sessions as needed.
  • Participates in company sustainability and safety committees and enforces applicable safety programs in an office environment.
  • Effectively communicates with employees throughout the organization both verbally and in writing.
  • Assists with maintaining the employee training database by inputting training completion information, adding course topics, verifying curriculum accuracy, and running various training reports.
  • Assists with editing written procedures, uploading into electronic document management system, assigning document approvers, and tracking the approval process.
  • Assists with maintaining electronic document management system by assigning document numbers, logging them on the document master log, and removing obsolete documents.
  • Assists with monitoring and reporting monthly/quarterly quality metrics, investigating gaps, and following up on action plans
  • Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • One year of professional work experience with administrative responsibilities

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

Computer Skills

  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Basic knowledge of using an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system

Language Skills

  • English Proficiency (reading, writing and verbal)

Mathematical Skills

  • Intermediate

  • Travel by car between IMS Arizona facilities as needed

The employee uses computer and telephone equipment. The employee also regularly lifts and/or moves objects up to 10 pounds. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision. Must be able to travel by automobile.
