Subaru Parts Counter Duties Include:


  • Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
  • Communicate with customers on the status of their parts orders.
  • Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provides high level service to internal and external customers.
  • Be able to read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts.
  • Answers phone calls, provide price quotes, and other information.
  • Review body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
  • Pulls and fills orders from stock.
  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of stock.
  • Notify parts managers of outofstock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
  • Locates outofstock parts from outside sources and submit an emergency order, if necessary.
  • Make sure that all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
  • Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
  • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pickup of parts orders.

Subaru Parts Counter Job Requirements/Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Automotive Parts Sales experience (preferred)
  • Experience with DealerTrack DMS (preferred)
  • Previous Subaru experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced work environment.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to consent to a preemployment background check.
