- Pre-codesand submits orders for inventory in an expeditious manner.
- Demonstratesknowledge of the overall function of the Materials Management Department.

- Providesassistance to other departments, when available.

Stores, stacks or palletizes items in accordance withprescribed storage methods, considering such factors as size, weight, quantity,spoilage, pilferage, and safety to others. Rearranges and takes inventory ofstored materials or merchandise. Maycompile and forward inventory data for manual or automated systems. Examines stock for deterioration and damage,and reports finding. Locates and movesdesignated items from storage area, assembles prepares and makes ready forshipment. Ensures that shipments areproperly labeled, packed or crated. Mayoperate material handling equipment when incidental to performance ofwarehousing duties. Assists the MaterialManager in the inventory process by updating inventory sheets as needed andparticipates in the yearly inventory count.
