- Compensation: $140-150K/year
- Location: Deer Park, TX
- Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+
- Assignment Duration: Direct hire

- Responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of the glycine unit and site utilities
- Review and evaluate capital projects as required. Track process yields, establish targets/goals. Recommend and show improvement in yields in Glycine
- Assist in the evaluation of any new products and or processes
- Review efficiency of plant processes and evaluate equipment and process vs. new technology
- Assist in the preparation of the capital budget by recommending payback improvement projects
- Provide input on equipment and instrumentation selections
- Develop and maintain trends for glycine and DAXAD and any other process that becomes part of the Company site
- Learn plant processes and become technical expert both internally and externally. Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis of any off spec production or process issues
- Modify (or develop new) procedures as required in accordance with plant policies for any such changes (MOC, etc.)
- Assist with loss prevention reviews and recommend/incorporate safety controls on new
- 5 to 10+ years of experience with the essential duties and responsibilities described above
- A BS or higher in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with Process Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment Reviews
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Working knowledge of office productivity software, including spreadsheets and word processing
- Experience with standard operating procedures
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, PSM/RMP
- High-level knowledge of process control software systems
- Experience working with AutoCAD as well as experience working with cGMP processes
- Experience working with boilers, compressors, chillers and cooling towers
