    Our client, a prominent chemical manufacturer located near Pasadena, TX, is seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join their dynamic team. This pivotal role will focus on enhancing chemical processes on-site, ensuring optimal efficiency and quality. The successful candidate will troubleshoot issues, implement adjustments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This is a permanent, direct-hire position offering a competitive salary ranging from $100k to $125k per year, plus a bonus.

    Responsibilities:

    • Continuously enhance product knowledge and expertise in polymer processing systems and equipment.
    • Develop technical specifications for established customers, incorporating products and services into their applications.
    • Design, develop, and communicate manufacturing processes, with preference given to candidates with twin screw extruder experience.
    • Monitor and optimize processes to achieve cost savings and enhance product/process quality and efficiency.
    • Participate in design reviews to optimize product manufacturability.
    • Lead the development of new processes, including researching emerging technologies, evaluating costs, and conducting process characterization and optimization studies.
    • Identify and resolve equipment/process issues, coordinating with maintenance, production, and other resources to implement effective solutions.
    • Coordinate new process installations and modifications.
    • Investigate and address customer complaints, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
    • Conduct special product testing and review and release Certificate of Analysis (COA).
    • Lead or participate in Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or chemistry, or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
    • Experience interfacing with customers.
    • Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities.
