Candidates' work history must represent increased levels of responsibility on a progressive basis throughout their career.The Electrical Engineer is r esponsible for leading a team of engineers and/or designers executing the design of all electrical systems for large greenfield and/or retrofit projects or portions of projects.
Semiconductor Construction Experience Required. Bilingual English/Spanish Highly Preferred.Responsibilities:
Responsible for research, evaluation, design, development, and modification of the electrical systems for advanced technology manufacturing and/or mission critical data center facilities.
Provide Electrical Engineering services to design, specify, and approve power distribution required for the construction of high tech manufacturing facilities and critical facilities.
Facilitate power quality studies, capacity studies, remediation, UPS and emergency power strategy, short circuit and load coordination studies, and control system strategies.
Incorporation of renewable power sources into traditional power systems providing mission critical reliability.Knowledge of PUE and Uptime and TIA Tier classifications. Provide technical direction to designers and drafters assigned to specific tasks.
Responsible for the quality and delivery of schematic and detailed designs.
Load calculation – 480V, 5Kv and 15 KV level
Three-phase feeder sizing for switchgear, switchboard, panelboards, motors
Indoor and Outdoor facilities- Medium and High-Voltage Substations
Ability to check/review layout drawings and one-line diagrams and make corrections.
Competency in laying out electrical equipment on the plan and coordinate with mechanical, architectural and structural discipline
Ability to size up large (up to 36" wide) cable trays for 15KV and 480V
Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Working knowledge of SKM Power Tools and EasyPower – highly desirable
Very strong work ethic
Thoroughly familiar with National Electrical Code, NFPA documents, EIA / TIA, and building codes.
Able to incorporate 'green' features into design solutions.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
3-4 years of Direct Semiconductor experience preferred with a minimum of 10 years of Electrical Engineering experience.
PE License with NCEES record
BSEE with 15+ years of experience.
Previous advanced technology facilities and/or mission critical design experience is preferred.
Experience with some form of CADD is required - Revit experience is a plus.
Experience with Electrical modeling programs such as SKM, Easypower or ETAP is preferred.
Excellent communication and presentations skills are a must.
Must be able to lead teams and execute in a fast moving dynamic environment.
Working knowledge of industry standards is required.
International experience is a plus.
Education
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
