"The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for new talents for a dual study program. With us, you can start your career and study at a university at the same time. The combination of practical experience and theory is the perfect stepping stone for your career.

You will start with a four-week pre-internship with us. Then, you will begin your 3-year dual study program to become a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering with a focus on railway power supply and overhead lines (m/f/d) for DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH in Berlin. Your theory phases will take place at the bbw University in Berlin. The theory and practical phases will alternate every 3 months. At least 50% of the university lectures will be held online. In addition, there will be learning and self-study opportunities through the online learning platform Moodle.
What to expect during the practical phases (construction supervision):
  • Tasks in the areas of construction supervision, planning, project management, or inspection engineering
  • You will gain insights into the different phases of a construction project - from planning, to implementation, to monitoring the progress, and finally completing the project
