    Position Overview

    Radish is a groundbreaking corporate catering program, whose recipes are designed by some of the best chefs in the country, including Michelin-starred Bay Area chefs, Top Chef winners, and beloved local restaurants. Radish focuses specifically on employee meals, primarily individually packaged or plated meals served in offices, but also including grab-and-go, remote employee dining and other use cases.

    The Assistant Account Manager is responsible for managing the event planning, financials, and logistics associated with a client account where Radish operates an onsite kitchen. At this client location, all food is produced offsite, and is reheated, finished and plated in the onsite kitchen and at client-facing stations. Most meals are served as fully-composed dishes from multiple stations each serving a daily-changing menu. In addition to daily meal service, Radish offers a robust set of event and meeting services offerings that are available to teams working onsite, and can encompass multiple simultaneous events happening across departments.

    The Assistant Account Manager's duties fall into two main categories: 1) Program administration and 2) Event and special feature planning

    This position requires an exceptional level of organization, maturity, accountability, and commitment to hospitality. Radish management is expected to provide exceptional hospitality to our guests, thoughtful collaboration with internal departments, and detail-oriented, proactive account management for our clients.

    Responsibilities

    Including but not limited to...

    Program Administration

    • Maintains program financial documentation using Total Party Planner event planning software. Establishes daily POs encompassing all services, and tracks all changes and updates to these POs.
    • Tracks all updates to equipment and compostable POs and submits these invoices on a regular basis.
    • Sends invoices on required schedule and in required format.
    • Serves as the secondary point of contact at service location for one-off events, offering support in handling client requests for guest count, programmatic, dietary, logistical and other adjustments
    • Supports the Account Manager when needed as a liaison of information between client, guests, onsite staff, and TFS/Radish leadership – including the Senior Account Manager, Operations Team, Crew Supervisor, Warehouse Director, etc.
    • Ensures that core administrative and operational tasks are executed completely, consistently and with exceptional attention to detail. Helps improve systems as needed over time. These tasks could include, but are not limited to:

    ➢ One-off Events Sheet

    ➢ Concierge Event Log

    ➢ TFS Invoice Tracker

    ➢ Vendor Menus

    ➢ Vendor Instructions

    • Ensures that core administrative and operational tasks delegated to other onsite team members are executed completely, consistently and with exceptional attention to detail. Helps improve systems as needed over time. These tasks include:
    • Time and temperature logs and other QA documentation.
    • Cleaning and sanitation procedures and logs
    • Daily equipment inventory lists
    • Daily overages regarding all meal services, as well as cold-case and other items.
    • Oversees all employee breaks and time clock adherence.
    • Guest feedback documentation
    • Prepares and prints daily signage and labels, including digital signage
    • Prepares menus on Canva. Handles all general updates, seeks out assistance for larger updates or questions as needed.
    • Regularly calculates overages and uses data to inform portioning decisions

    Event Planning

    • Plans all non-standard services. These services may include, but are not limited to the following:
    • Happy hours at client locations
    • Meeting services, from pastries and coffee for 5 to complete meal services for 150 or more.
    • All-day or part-day conferences
    • One-off client requests involving food from Radish, its restaurant or catering partners, and services from additional vendors
    • Pop-ups and special treats for the entirety of the client staff
    • Events are built in Total Party Planner, and may include the following services or components. It is extremely important that all updates are made in real time during proposal writing and subsequent update phases.
    • Beverages, from coffee vendors or from Tonic Beverage Catering
    • Breakfast, lunch or dinner meals from the Radish kitchen
    • Outsourced appetizers or other offerings from La Cocina vendors or other restaurant or catering partners
    • Snack services
    • Staff from The Fire Society
    • Waste Management
    • Rentals
    • Other services and vendors as needed.
    • Owns all event production for Radish events in addition to planning, including but not limited to:
    • Coordinating with a wide range of outside vendors to ensure their products and services are delivered and set up on time.
    • Manages Radish vendors by maintaining email/text communications and orders directly from outsourced vendors
    • Works with client onsite teams to ensure proper directions are giving for load in, load out, parking and security clearance
    • Obtaining W9 and COI paperwork for new vendors as well as collecting and organizing paperwork from existing vendors
    • Assist with sourcing new and special requests from guests as needed which could also include non-food items such as entertainment, equipment, etc
    • Work closely alongside the client concierge service team who have special guest needs and requests of their own as well
    • Work closely alongside the snack and beverage team to ensure all requests from our team and their team are being met for each event
    • Collect menu information and dietary restrictions to create menus and labels in Canva for any special events
    • Responsible for updating the events board in real time for the onsite team to reference
    • Gathers guest feedback and relays it to other team members as needed to continually improve service offerings and experience.
    • Designing and printing menus and labels
    • Alerting all internal TFS team leads about events, and conveying all details through Ops Emails
    • Overseeing the adherence to break policy and consistency in recording punch times.
    • Invoicing clients at conclusion of event.
    • Responsible for exporting events to Nowsta and ensuring all pertinent staff and event information is provided in a timely manner.
    • Responsible for notifying the operations team of event changes, using standardized communication methods including; event change sheets, ops emails, etc
    • Sending Ops emails and otherwise coordinating with all internal departments to disseminate relevant information.
    • Leads service at all events or delegates service leadership to other onsite team members
    • Works with Account Manager to create a robust and detailed set of meeting and event services offerings, as well as sales materials to facilitate the streamlining of event requests into pre-existing offering frameworks.

    Requirements

    • 1-2 years of FOH management, Account Management, and/or Catering/Event management experience required.
    • 1-3 years experience in fine dining restaurant settings, including Michelin starred, SF Chronicle 3-Starred or higher or the equivalent.
    • 1-3 years of corporate catering or onsite corporate dining experience preferred
    • Infectious passion for food and hospitality
    • Excellent organization and communication skills; Must be proactive, detail-oriented, accountable, and professional
    • Strong work ethic, leads by example, teaching-focused management style
    • Very strong computer and administrative skills
    • Able to work on your feet for up to 10 hours, participate in lifting and carrying 25+ pounds
    • Ability to make two-year commitment preferred

    Required Certifications

    • A valid California Food Handler Managers' Certificate or willingness to acquire one within the first month of hire.
