    Job Summary:


    We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to lead and oversee the daily operations of our last mile logistics and transportation company.

    The Director of Operations will be responsible for ensuring efficient, reliable, and cost-effective delivery services, enhancing operational processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

    This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in logistics and transportation management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to optimize operational performance.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Operational Leadership:
    Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's last mile logistics and transportation services.
    Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and service quality.
    Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.

    Strategic Planning and Execution:
    Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute strategic plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
    Identify and implement new technologies and innovations to improve operational performance and customer satisfaction.
    Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of operations.

    Team Management:
    Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, including managers, supervisors, drivers, and support staff.
    Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence.
    Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide professional development opportunities for team members.

    Budget and Financial Management:
    Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
    Monitor financial performance and implement measures to achieve financial targets.
    Analyze and report on key performance metrics and operational data to inform decision-making.

    Customer Service and Relationship Management:
    Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction through efficient and reliable delivery operations.
    Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
    Address and resolve operational issues and customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.

    Logistics and Supply Chain Optimization:
    Optimize route planning, fleet management, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
    Implement and manage logistics software and systems to enhance operational visibility and control.
    Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and partners to ensure seamless supply chain operations.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

    Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

    Proven track record of managing large-scale logistics and transportation operations.
    Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
    Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    Proficiency in logistics management software and other relevant technologies.
    Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
    Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.

    Preferred Skills:
    Experience with last mile delivery operations and technologies.
    Six Sigma or Lean Management certification.
    Familiarity with emerging trends and innovations in the logistics and transportation industry.
