M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital, located in Burnsville MN, is looking for a dedicated and transformative Nurse Manager to lead our Labor & Delivery/Post Partum unit.
This Nurse Manager role will plan, lead, coordinate, and evaluate patient care activities of the Birthplace.In addition, this role will lead nursing practice and patient care operations in collaboration with and accountable to the Nursing Director, this includes:
nursing practice, quality and safety, regulatory compliance, finance and other operational accountabilities.
This unit is a 30 bed postpartum and 9 bed labor and delivery unit with a 3 bed maternal assessment center and over 2400 deliveries per year.
This is a full time, exempt position eligible for full benefits.We offer a generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, vacation/sick time, pension, 403(b) plan, tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment program, free parking and more Leads day-to-day operations of assigned area(s) to ensure support of the mission, vision, values and goals of the organization.
Plans, leads, coordinates and evaluates patient care activities including staffing, resource management, quality, regulatory compliance, and financial management.Handles equipment inventory and supply management within operational budget.
Collects and analyzes quality data and applies process improvement methodology to ensure delivery of safe and quality patient care.
Drives improvement activities that promote patient centered care and positive customer experience.Is responsible for human resources management to achieve quality service and positive employee relations.
Ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
In partnership with the Nursing Practice and Education team assures that evidence based clinical care is being delivered.
Ensures staff compliance in areas of job requirements, education and clinical competency.
Works with Nursing Director to establish goals and objectives.
Promotes a culture of high employee engagement, professional development, nursing education and research.
Partners with interprofessional team members across the continuum of care to achieve organizational outcomes.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing. If Bachelor's degree is not in nursing must have a Master's degree is nursing.
Four Years nursing experience, at least two of which is in a formal or informal (charge, lead, preceptor) leadership role.
License/Certification/RegistrationAbility to obtain Minnesota nursing license at time of hire.
