- Develop and implement annual cropping plans for row crops, including corn, soybeans, and vegetables
- Manage all aspects of crop production, from planting to harvesting, ensuring optimal yields and quality
- Monitor and control costs to ensure efficient use of resources and maximize profitability
- Utilize crop production applications and technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency
- Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery used in crop production
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics and ensure timely delivery of crops
- Monitor and analyze crop production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Develop and manage budgets for crop production operations, including forecasting and cost control functions
- Ensure compliance with all agricultural regulations and best practices for sustainable and responsible farming
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to crop production activities
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in agricultural large-scale development, with a focus on row crops
- Strong knowledge and understanding of crop production techniques and practices
- Proficient in developing and implementing annual cropping plans for various row crops
- Experience in fertilization, pest control, and irrigation systems for row crops
- Familiarity with Class A CDL and ability to operate agricultural equipment and machinery
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
