    $ $65.00 p/h
    Dependent upon Licensure and Degree OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide individual and small group speech/language therapy treatment to students in preschool setting, and as related services
  • Keep current progress information and notes on each student in the caseload
  • Follow goals and objectives on IEP for each student
  • Assess children as needed
  • Complete quarterly progress reports and session notes in a timely manner
  • Attend CPSE meetings as needed
  • Attend weekly class team meetings as needed
  • Mandated reporter.
  • Continue professional development including training for OCFS QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
    NY State License in Speech Pathology and/or TSSLD Certification Support for and understanding of children with a wide variety of special needs in a preschool setting Sensitivity and Empathy for children with special needs and their families
    Self-motivated Flexible and Collaborative
    Good communication skills
    Good organizational skills
    Responsible
    Cooperative
    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    Master's degree and experience working with preschool population PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
    This job requires working with young children in a school setting. This position requires working with young children who may need help with self-help skills including toileting/diapering, lifting up to 50 pounds, running, etc These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to perform the job's essential functions successfully.
