The DarkStar Group is seeking a Data Scientist with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Chantilly, VA.

THE PROGRAM

The DarkStar Group is a member of 100% of the winning teams for the largest technology program in the Intel Community.

We've been supporting this customer on many different sub-projects of this program since our founding in 2013.

THE PROJECT
The Sponsor requires support specializing in data acquisitions from various commercial sources and to conduct creative, technical analysis. Variously formatted data sets will require migration onto internal networks for the Sponsor organization.

The Contractor will work with an interdisciplinary team of experts on a series of projects encompassing data acquisitions, data migration, commercial encryption, and risk mitigation strategies.

Data will be analyzed against different available data sets and repositories both internal and external to the Sponsor organization. The data analysis support will work closely with technical experts to assess anomalies and determine corrective action, if appropriate.


THE ROLE

  • The Contractor shall collect information for purposes of acquiring commercial data of interest to the Sponsor group.
  • The Contractor shall perform technical analysis on data and engage in risk mitigation and data management best practices.
  • The Contractor shall search commercial systems to identify anomalies or other actionable information related to the Sponsor group's objectives.
  • The Contractor shall analyze patterns of activity related to data gathered from external systems to identify potential actionable issues.
  • The Contractor shall work with technical experts to determine corrective actions for any actionable issues.

Required Skills:


  • Demonstrated experience performing creative analysis into commercial communications market data.
  • Demonstrated experience on projects on complex digital networks for accessing the Internet with appropriate safeguards and security measures.
  • Demonstrated experience connecting information across multiple datasets such as database queries, or API calls.
  • Demonstrated experience with digital forensics and analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience with commercial encryption, data management and risk management.
Desired Skills (Optional)

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with Sponsors partners.
  • Demonstrated experience on projects involving complex digital networks for accessing the internet with appropriate safeguards and security measures.
  • Demonstrated experience performing research into commercial data sets.
  • Demonstrated experience with multiple platforms (to include social media and dark web).
  • Demonstrated experience researching technical data sources to present decision makers a summarized and pictorial conclusion about communications technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a technical capacity within a multidisciplinary team of technical and nontechnical officers to include developing and implementing technical solutions or capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience with development and coding using Python.
  • Degree or educational background in computer science, data analysis, data science, information science, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related discipline.
