- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Maintain and oversee all accounting processes and functions ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Supervise, guide, and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate and assist with the annual budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting department.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local accounting and financial regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior accounting or finance role, with a track record of managing an accounting team.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
