    Your opportunity


    As a key member of New Relic's Competitive Intelligence team, you'll play a vital role in driving our success within the competitive observability landscape.

    You'll delve into competitor strategies, offerings, and market positioning to empower our sales, marketing, and product teams to win.
    What you'll do

    Competitive Monitoring:
    Proactively monitor competitors' activities across product releases, marketing initiatives, pricing strategies, partnerships, and industry trends.

    Deep-Dive Analysis:
    Delve into key competitors, analyzing their technologies, messaging, target markets, and sales methodologies to uncover strategic insights.

    Win/Loss Intelligence:
    Gather and synthesize win/loss data, pinpointing factors that drive customer choices and highlighting competitor vulnerabilities.

    Sales & Marketing Enablement:
    Create compelling battlecards, playbooks, and insights tailored to differentiate New Relic, directly supporting sales and marketing efforts.

    Strategic Product Insights:
    Share actionable findings and recommendations with leadership to guide product development, marketing messaging, and competitive strategies.

    Information Management:
    Leverage competitive intelligence tools (e.g., Klue) to centralize knowledge, ensuring easy access for relevant teams.

    Monitoring all Internal Channels:
    Coordinate compete channel coverage and response across Slack, Salesforce, Highspot and Email.

    Competitive Office Hours:
    Participate in company-wide competitive

    Account-level Competitive Intelligence

    Competitive Deal Support

    This role requires

    5+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, or a related field within the SaaS industry.

    Demonstrated expertise in analyzing observability solutions or similar complex technologies (cloud, IT infrastructure, etc.).

    Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform data into strategic recommendations.

    Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present findings clearly to diverse audiences

    Self-starter mentality with an insatiable curiosity and drive to unearth insightful information.

    Experience with competitive intelligence platforms like Klue is strongly preferred.

    Experience with other information gathering and analysis tools is a plus

    Estimated Base Pay Range:
    $ 146,000 - $ 182,000
    The pay range above represents a reasonable estimate of the salary for the listed position. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan.

    Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience.
