- Oversee Product Data Management Group to ensure compliance with established policies and practices and to anticipate problems and communicate possible solutions.
- Guide Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO/ECN) and communicate to affected stakeholders (Expert).
- Manage document control of Engineering Bill of Materials (BOM's) and drawings.
- Oversee the administration and workflow improvements of the SolidWorks PDM system.
- Plan engineering Bill of Material activities to meet program needs.
- Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and procedures related to BOM's and PDM systems.
- Support product cost reduction efforts.
- Maintain product patents.
- Provide engineering support for Product management, Operations, Service, and other subsidiaries.
- Develop and maintain product specifications.
- Review drawings for PDM transitioning approval.
- Lead drawing check meetings.
- Coordinate CAD system upgrades.
- Prior supervisory experience of professional, technical, and clerical staff (2/3 years).
- Ability to utilize and demonstrate proficiency with SolidWorks is preferred.
- Expertise in dissecting engineering and manufacturing data and transforming it into product structure for assembly, along with compiling the final Bill of Materials for the product.
- Knowledgeable at reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Strong business analytical skills demonstrating knowledge of Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Planning, Supply Management, Material Control, and Service functions and how they are related to product data management systems.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of product data management information systems, databases structures and related tools.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills.

ECHO is hiring an Administration Supervisor in our Engineering Department The Administration Supervisor's role is to implement and manage programs and processes to ensure integrity, accuracy, and coordination of product data management systems. This position will support operating, analytical, and reporting activities for ECHO and its subsidiaries. Other responsibilities would be to support and supervise the integration of product data and respective information resources into common information systems and supporting processes.
This position will be based out of our Lake Zurich, IL facility.
