    About the role

    The Systems Engineer position at Visby involves developing cutting-edge PCR-based diagnostic products alongside a skilled team of Engineers. This role is ideal for mid-level professionals looking to enhance their expertise in Systems Engineering and contribute to pioneering diagnostic solutions.

    How you'll make an impact

    • Lead the development and documentation of engineering design specifications for Visby platforms, ensuring optimal device function and interaction with a Computer Vision / Machine Learning module deployed on Apple and Android phones.
    • Conduct Verification and Validation testing, creating test protocols and reports.
    • Create and validate testing methods for system and component level requirements.
    • Troubleshoot complex biological and electromechanical subsystems.
    • Perform comprehensive system, sub-system, and component level testing.
    • Oversee compliance testing to relevant safety standards (IEC 60601, IEC 61010, etc.).
    • Manage risk assessment and work with the Quality team to ensure product safety.
    • Handle DCO's, BOM management, and vendor interactions.
    • Other assigned responsibilities.

    On your first day we'd like you to have

    • B.S., Electrical Engineering, Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
    • 3-5 years of industry experience with B.S. OR 0-2 years of industry experience with M.S.
    • Strong understanding of Systems Engineering theory and principles.

    Salary range

    • $100,496 - $125,620 (salary range for candidates in San Jose)
    • Compensation varies based on location, level, and candidate qualifications.
