- Attends meetings and participates on committees as required.
- Performs Radiologic Procedures, including portables and trauma, as ordered by physician or the Radiologist in accordance with department procedures.
- Performs fluoroscopic and other procedures according to standard protocols, under the supervision and direction of radiologist and other physicians.
- Produces quality radiographs according to department Routine Procedure Protocols, utilizing proper exposure factors and positioning.
- Documents technical factors of each procedure in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Develops films as needed to ensure patients examinations are completed in a timely manner.
- Accurately marks each film with the correct patient information from the I.D. card in accordance with department quality control standards.
- Processes each cassette on the radiographic processor and ensures that it is reloaded with the correct film size and type as observed by coordinator.
- Places the loaded unexposed film cassettes in the proper area for reuse as observed by coordinator.
- Participates in the Quality Control program of site, as evidenced by cassette cleaning etc.
- Makes copies of x-ray film upon request and places in appropriate bin for pick-up.
- Utilizes Radiology Information System (RIS) to properly track procedures, as evidenced by appropriate billing and transcription.
- Maintains knowledge of proper EMTALA policies and procedures, as evidenced by maintenance of logs and other related materials.
