The company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team in Fairfax, VT.

Maintenance Technician

Location:
Fairfax, Vermont

Type:
Full-Time, Direct Hire

Salary:
$55,000 - $65,000

Hours:
Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm

Summary:

Join the team as a Maintenance Technician responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring equipment and building upkeep, performing repairs, and supporting technical needs.

This role plays a vital part in maintaining quality and safety standards, collaborating with different departments for smooth production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out repairs as per service requests.
Manage equipment and building repairs to minimize downtime.
Work on mini-projects with supervisors and department heads.
Supervise major repairs and projects with the Production Supervisor.
Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to prevent delays.
Follow safety and hygiene protocols.
Oversee preventive maintenance programs.
Document and prioritize service requests.
Address recurring issues to prevent product contamination.
Recommend enhancements for efficiency, quality, and safety.
Train new staff and implement process improvements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering Technology or related field, or relevant experience.
Minimum of 2 years in a similar position.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with food industry standards, GMP, and Quality Control.
