    Description

    Overview:

    McWane Ductile New Jersey is comprised of over 250 dedicated team members who produce ductile iron pipe that deliver clean, safe drinking water to communities globally. Phillipsburg New Jersey has been our home since1856, and we continue our legacy of manufacturing high-quality products critical to national infrastructure.

    We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for our open Industrial Electrical Engineer position.

    The overall purpose of this role is carry out a variety of engineering tasks, such as research, develop, design, and test electrical and electronic equipment, and systems used in manufacturing and industrial processes. Analyze data and trends to build new products. Perform calculations ensuring systems safety compliance. Collaborate with technicians and computer programmers to review and resolve emerging issues.

    Ultimately, the Electrical Engineer will improve our companys products and processes;contributing to continued success.

    This is an onsite position

    Responsibilities:

    Includes (but are not limited to):

    • Design electrical equipment, systems and establish manufacturing processes.
    • Direct activities ensuring that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to function specifications.
    • Perform risk assessments and confirm compliance with safety standards and engineering codes.
    • Conduct research on new applications and collaborate with peers to craft/apply new system processes
    • Lead projects and deliver on time
    • Define and ensure installations and applications are in line with customer needs and requirements and safety standards
    • Perform quality and performance analysis on new and legacy IT systems, summarize data and report on test results
    • Evaluate new equipment needs, calculate costs and help prepare budgets
    • Coordinate maintenance inspection plans, assist in solving equipment malfunctions
    • Train technical and non-technical personnel on new equipment operations
    • Supervise Maintenance personnel and/or contractors as needed
    • Any other tasks as directed by management
    Qualifications:

    To perform this job effectively, and satisfactorily perform essential job duties; candidate must possess the below requirements:

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
    • Minimum two years working in a similar industrial setting
    • Ability to read and write Allen Bradley PLC programming. SLC 500 and ControlLogix -is highly preferred, candidate be willing to learn
    • Able to drive projects to completion on time and within budget
    • Maintain professional, encouraging interactions with all levels of management
    • For safe and effective performance;and the successful operation of the business, the qualified candidate must read and communicate moderately in English

    • Moderate to loud leve of noise in a production foundry.
    • Occasional need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
    • Specific vision needs: close & distant vision, and adjust focus.
    • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

    Vision Requirements - More than 80%

    Hand/Finger Dexterity, Reaching with Arms and Hands (Operating machinery, computer keyboards and etc) - More than 80%

    Outside Temperatures Less than 10%

    Exposed to fumes or airborne particles (PPE provided) - More than 30%
