    Come Grow with Us and Join an Award-Winning Organization Stearns Bank is looking for a Banking Relationship Specialist (Bilingual: Hmong) for our new location in Hmongtown Marketplace in St. Paul, Minnesota.

    JOB SUMMARY: Focus on Stearns Bank's Deposit Growth Initiatives by developing and maintaining relationships with assigned portfolio of customers as well as generating new business through prospecting, calling, social networking and referrals on a continual basis. Banking Relationship Specialist will provide a broad base of financial deposit services, refers other bank products and services with a goal of acquiring 100% of the customer's business. Develops and maintains working relationships with other Stearns Bank departments and affiliates to maximize sales opportunities. Makes both face-to-face and telephone sales calls to top tier customers to increase products per customer ratio. Committed to helping Stearns Bank remain a high performing organization.

    Starting annual salary of $55, Employment offers will be dependent upon the selected candidate's relevant qualifications and experience.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Generates new business through prospecting, calling, social networking and referrals from EFD, SBA, National, Commercial and Consumer lending.
    • Work with and promote Intrafi Network account development to new and existing customers.
    • Work with and assist all levels of Company's personnel with top tier customers.
    • Work with Universal Bankers who will aid with deposit doc prep, exporting accounts to core system, scan docs for checkback, and provide maintenance to accounts.
    • Act as a self-starter while leveraging cross-functional collaboration with business partners.
    • Develop business relationships by asking for referrals from current clients and vendors.
    • Make individual and joint outbound sales calls (phone and face-to-face) on existing and potential customers.
    • Actively interact with customers, prospects, and coworkers to build strong business relationships.
    • Maintains an awareness of marketplace products, practices, rates, and changes to ensure capitalization on competitive opportunities.
    • Develop strong working knowledge of products, services, sales skills, and service standards.
    • Ability to identify opportunities to sell Stearns Bank products and services.
    • Cross sell Mastercard Debit Cards and Merchant Services and all other services offered by Stearns Bank and its partners.
    • Maintains basic working knowledge of commercial and personal lending for referral purposes.
    • Handles a high volume of phone calls both incoming and outgoing, with professionalism, delivering exceptional customer service and commitment to gain 100% of customers business.
    • Written "thank-you" follow-up on all new account sales. (To be coordinated with team members located in branches.)
    • Manage assigned portfolio, initiating customer courtesy calls to increase products per household and ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Continues to enrich selling skills by utilizing the company's selling tools such as reading appropriate literature, watching videos, and role playing with team members.
    • Maintain continuous communications with assigned portfolio of deposit customers.
    • Diligently work to meet or exceed assigned goals to achieve deposit growth with new and existing clients to grow portfolio.
    • Utilize Salesforce for creating leads, tasks and management of portfolio.
    • Represents SBNA by actively participating in business and industry-related organizations, social networking, and other professional activities as appropriate.
    • Demonstrates excellent time management skills. Ability to prioritize when multi-tasking.
    • Attends and contributes to sales meetings, sales activities and functions and participate in Stearns Bank sales/referral promotions.
    • Demonstrates teamwork and provide backup support as needed.
    • Maintain proper documentation of daily activities.
    • Work with your supervisor/manager to establish monthly/yearly goals.
    • Develops and strives to attain person goals for oneself.
    • Loss prevention and security as applicable for this position.
    • Performs related work as required.
    • Completes training as required.
    • Maintain a working knowledge of all legal and regulatory compliance issues as they pertain to this position.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
    • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
    • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, twist, bend, sit, walk use hands to twist, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, such as computer mouse, computer keyboard, calculator, stapler, telephone, staple puller, etc., reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, talk or hear.
    • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Strong knowledge of products and services, planning, goal setting, project/time management and selling techniques.
    • Strong oral communication skills.

    • Bilingual with fluency in Hmong and English.

    • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
