- Providing direct academic advisement to students including the review of transcripts, review of Programs of Study, completion of graduation checks, and general academic support and advice.
- Completing administrative components for academic advising including the documentation of appointments and related notes, preparation of student files, investigative work to address issues, and addressing inquiries via email and phone.
- Planning, implementing, coordinating, and participating in special projects, events, New Student Orientations, and other recruitment and retention activities.
- Supports academic school/college goals by providing input on academic programs, delivering presentations/workshops, and training lower-level advisors, where applicable.
- All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the US-UNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
