    Job Summary
    This position is for an Onshore Construction Project Manager to represent *** for the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW)

    Project. The CVOW project entails the construction and installation of 176 wind turbine generators and associated equipment off the coast of Virginia Beach, Virginia as well as the four (4) onshore transmission network scopes including:
    the underground transmission; overhead transmission; a new switching station; and the expansion of an existing substation.

    The Onshore Construction Project Manager will report to the Manager - Site Construction, Onshore Scopes.

    This position is responsible for managing the scope, schedule, and budget of the four (4) onshore scope packages including design, manufacturing, construction/installation, testing, and commissioning and coordination between.

    Day-to-day interaction with the
    Electric Transmission team, manufacturers, contractors, site construction teams., and the CVOW Commissioning Manager will be required to ensure all equipment is transported, installed, and commissioned, as required, and all sites are constructed, tested, and commissioned in a timely manner.

    The candidate will be required to work with multiple contractors to ensure the design, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, and testing activities meet 's requirements of the CVOW Project.

    Responsibilities


    • Manage the onshore transmission packages during the design, development and construction phases of the project and ensure seamless interface with the offshore package managers.
    • Support all phases of the project for each onshore package including coordination between packages, coordinate on-site safety during construction, permitting, transportation, installation, and commissioning.
    • Monitor and report the status of manufacturing and construction activities.
    • Manage scope, schedule, budget, and project risks for the onshore scopes.
    • Liaise with the *** Electric Transmission, Transportation and Installation Project Manager, Interface Project Manager, and Commissioning Manager regarding work plans, schedules, and requirements for construction, installation, and commissioning.
    • Review and monitor progress of manufacturing and provide accurate reporting to leadership.
    • Provide support to the project team and assist in resolving technical, construction, commissioning, and warranty issues.
    • Lead with the assigned Onshore Contracts Consultant and Onshore Cost Controls Consultant in the management of contracts, evaluation and processing of change order requests, reviewing/approving invoices, and management of the financial tracking and forecasting for the onshore scope packages.
    • Coordinate and work closely with the Onshore Scheduling Team in the review, preparation, and coordination of detailed construction, manufacturing, transportation, installation, and commissioning schedules for the onshore scope packages.
    Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience


    • Minimum of 7-years of experience in project management.
    • Professional Engineering (PE) License and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred, but not required.
    • Experience in onshore transmission networks and interconnection to wind facilities (onshore or offshore), switching and/or substation construction, and/or heavy industrial design and construction environments.
    • Working knowledge of large-scale transmission, electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.
    • Ability to travel (domestic and internationally) as required.
    • Proficient with interpreting technical drawings, documents & management reports.
    • Ability to lead and manage multiple, competing work objectives.
    Education Requirements


    • Bachelor's Degree in engineering (preferred electrical, civil, or industrial systems disciplines).
    • Equivalent work experience in lieu of an engineering degree may be considered.
