- Associates Degree in Business, preferred.
- Healthcare experience required
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance Reimbursement, and HCHCP.
- Proficient in computer applications (excel, access, word, and eCW)
- Knowledge of accounts receivable, FQHC, billing practices, regulations, CPT-4 and
- ICD-10 Codes.
- Coordinate with Billing Manager all phases of billing for medical and dental services.
- Coordinate with Billing Manager on month-end process
- Troubleshoot eCW issues that pertain to assigned billing groups
- Coordinate with Billing Manager on accounts receivable.
- Assist in Staff/Site training and special projects.
- Manage daily operations of assigned billing group
- In charge of credentialing and serves as the liaison to the credentialing company for all SCHC providers as assigned
- Coordinate data needed for enrollment
- Follow up with providers to ensure forms are completed in a timely manner
- Advise Billing Manager of any potential delays in a provider's enrollment and works with billing staff to resolve issues related to payer enrollment issues
- Process claims for assigned insurances
- Annual employee evaluations, weekly time schedules, and vacation schedules as assigned
- Other duties as assigned.
