    Job Description and Duties

If so, the Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) might be the perfect match for you. The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) is looking for a dedicated Licensing Program Manager III - Associate Program Administrator (APA). In this role, you will oversee licensing and monitoring activities for Child Care Licensing Offices in Region Four under the guidance of the Child Care Program Administrator (CEA A). Responsibilities include providing operational direction, ensuring consistent enforcement of regulations, recommending administrative actions against non-compliant facilities, and representing the Child Care Program at various meetings and conferences. The ideal candidate will have a background in the licensing program, a keen eye for administrative matters, and the ability to effectively utilize licensing resources.



    Working Conditions

    This position may qualify for hybrid telework in accordance with California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible California residents. The role involves extensive computer use, potential sitting, walking, or standing throughout the day, and flexible work hours. The LPM III position will be based in select CCLD offices across regions such as El Segundo, Monterey Park, or Santa Barbara.

    Applicants must submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) along with their application for review. The SOQ serves as the initial interview for this role and should not exceed two pages. Additionally, fingerprinting clearance by the Department of Justice is mandatory for this position.

Training and Development assignments are available for eligible candidates, subject to approval.
