This position will provide support at the property level, with a dotted line to the Corporate Finance Department in all aspects related to Income Audit, General Cashiering, Accounts Receivables, F&B controls and Accounts Payable invoicing.
This position supports and will offer analysis directly related to reviewing and reconciling properties daily cash, credit card deposits and hotels' daily income journals via the company's financial systems.
Responsibilities will include:
Ensure daily income reports are completed dailyBalance Guest ledger, A/R and Deposit ledger accounts dailyPrepare and route daily adjustmentsProcess daily cash depositsManage the A/R function and hold monthly credit meetingOversee the use of Birchstreet and the department managers utilizing the A/P processBalance POS sales and settlementsImplement F&B cost controls and SOPsAssist with monthly inventoryAssist GM weekly with forecastingMonth end processingConduct quarterly self audit
Experience and Education:
Previous hotel accounting experience with heavy F&B knowledge preferred4-year college degree(preferably in Accounting or Finance) or equivalent work experience in hotel accountingExcellent Guest Service, Computer and Communication Skills are required via verbal, written and electronic means.
