    Senior Accountant
    Mountain Top Bookkeeping LLC is a fast-growing bookkeeping firm located in Madison, New Jersey seeking a part-time senior accountant. The ideal candidate will have an accounting degree with 10+ years of accounting firm experience.

    Ambitious and detail-oriented candidates that take the initiative will be interested in this opportunity to join a thriving company that recognizes talent and effort as well as a pathway to more analytical work.

    Candidates with the ability to handle the month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable and assist with a system migration and external audits will be preferred.

    Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in accounting is required
    10+ years of accounting experience at an accounting firm
    Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Microsoft Office suite.
    Excellent attention to detail
    Aptitude and desire to think outside the box and implement change
    Proven experience to work with minimum supervision
    Strong organizational and analytical skills
    Job Description
    Execute month-end closing responsibilities for all assigned entities and/or accounts on a timely basis
    Prepare and record journal entries
    Perform detailed analytics to identify anomalies and discrepancies, and evaluate trends
    Reconcile accounts and gather/create supporting documentation to validate account balances
    Coordinate documentation support and correspondence for external audits
    Create SOPs to document new and existing processes, recommending and implementing change as needed
    Perform special projects and reporting as required
    Accountability
    Strong organization and follow-up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitments.

    Ability to give and follow instructions accurately and efficiently; proactive in asking clarifying questions to ensure work effort is directed wholly toward desired outcome.

    Client Service
    Ability to develop good relationships with clients and meet their expectations.
    Excellent interpersonal skills to handle multiple clients' needs and requests.
