Job DescriptionBenefits:Global Procurement Solutions, Inc., (GPS Inc.) a Service-Disabled Veteran owned small business, provides federal agencies with Janitorial and Sanitation (Jan/San) supplies at discounted prices. GPS Inc. is currently seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative with Sales Support. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a strong desire to assist customers with their inquiries and concerns. In addition to providing exceptional customer service, this role will also involve providing sales support to our sales team for its Longwood, Florida office (Not Remote).
Job Duties:
1. Serve as the first point of contact for customers via phone, email, or chat, and provide prompt and accurate responses to inquiries and concerns.
2. Prepare orders received via phone/ email or EDI and enter data into the order processing system. Place orders either manually or via EDI. Place orders using vendor online sites.
3. Assist customers with product information, pricing, availability, and order processing.
4. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
5. Collaborate with the sales team to provide sales support, including generating quotes, processing orders, and following up on leads.
6. Maintain a thorough understanding of our products and services to effectively promote and cross-sell additional offerings to customers and to support our sales teams effort.
7. Solicit/ prepare sale of new or additional services or products, if applicable
8. Keep detailed records of customer interactions and transactions using our CRM system.
9. Work closely with other internal departments and external vendors.
10. Resolve customers' service or billing complaints by performing due diligence and understanding the whole picture before answering partial questions. This may require communication with our accounting department to resolve outstanding credit memos and requesting vendor return authorizations
11. Obtain and examine all relevant information to assess the validity of complaints and to determine potential causes.
12. Continuously strive to improve customer satisfaction by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing solutions.
13. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to better assist customers and support sales efforts.
14. Attend weekly meetings with GPS order processing team to resolve issues.
15. Recommend improvements and uphold company policies and procedures while delivering high-quality service to customers.
16. Additional duties assigned, as necessary.

Employment conditions:

Position is non-exempt. (Hourly)
The position is full-time and is in an office in Longwood, Fl (Not Remote).
Position has fixed hours 8am - 5pm
New skills and responsibilities will be added to the workload as the employee learns.
This position is intended as an entry position, and it is expected that applicants will have an opportunity to grow their responsibilities and capabilities over time if they are able.
GPS operates in a team environment and good team communication skills are required.
