    JOB SUMMARY

    The Junior Security Analyst's (JSA) duties include identifying and preventing cyber threats, establishing threat patterns, maintaining data, monitoring security network and critical application access, performing risk analysis, reviewing security alerts, and following procedures to escalate and report. Works under the supervision of a Senior Security Analyst or the Manager and will collect, monitor, review, analyze, and report information security events in the Bank's physical, operational, and cyber security areas. The JSA will also know and enforce the internal control framework and applicable regulations, policies, and procedures, perform testing of controls and security assessments, and track and monitor system vulnerabilities. The JSA also assists other analysts and the IS & Operational Risk Officer in identifying and addressing operational and security risks.

    DUTIES OF THE POSITION

    The duties of the position include but are not limited to, the following:
    • Responsible for knowing, enforcing, and assessing the Bank's internal controls and risks based on applicable frameworks, regulations, policies, and procedures.
    • Assist in overseeing compliance with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), and any other regulations (state and federal) applicable to the Bank.
    • Assist in performing various risk assessments and reviews of the Bank's operations, procedures, and controls; both physical and electronic.
    • Assist in coordinating or performing assessments for key and regulated areas and platforms, including IT, Operations, FFIEC, SWIFT, Fedline, and IT, among others.
    • Monitor activity on key systems and applications' logs, event reports, and report incidents, and continuously assess the value added and risk addressed by them.
    • Periodically assess user access levels to the Bank's applications, platforms, and systems and request changes on any exceptions.
    • Test and report results of physical and logical security controls.
    • Support the education and training of professional staff on controls, security, BCP, and applicable regulatory compliance topics.
    • Assist in maintaining the Bank's vendor management program and system.
    • Stay informed of industry threats and trends and apply this knowledge to monitoring and assessments as well as improve the Cybersecurity program.
    • Assist in the investigation, analysis, and documentation of security incidents.
    • Facilitate and assist in the coordination of BCP/DR testing.
    • Assist in the evaluation of security configuration of the branch's key systems.
    • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned by management.
    • Ability to understand, speak, read, and write English and Spanish.
    • Ability to effectively speak before groups of customers or employees.
    • Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of the position
    • Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities (including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed).
    • Travel as required.
    • Provide coverage for other positions as requested.
    • Ability to carry and lift boxes and objects weighing between 10 and 25 pounds.
    • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
    PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:

    COMPUTER:

    Proficiency in operating personal computers as well as fluency with Microsoft Office and Google-Suite (G-Suite), tools.

    Ability to learn and operate various software and applications used by the branch in the performance of duties and assessing and monitoring them (e.g. ACL).

    EDUCATION:

    Minimum a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Information Systems.

    CERTIFICATIONS:

    Not required, but desirable in developing professionally include: Security+, CySA+, CEH, CRISC, CISA, CISSP

    EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum of one year of relevant experience in banking, audit, and/or security.
