    Whats unique about this job (What you'll do)

    The HRIS Product Owner will be responsible for the strategic and tactical development of our HRIS platform. This role involves working closely with HR, IT, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the system meets the needs of our business and supports our strategic objectives. The HRIS Product Owner will drive the vision and roadmap for the HRIS, manage the product backlog, and ensure successful implementation and adoption of new features and functionalities.

    • Agile Practitioner: You have experience in Agile development processes and product management.
    • Stakeholder Manager: You excel at engaging and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders.
    • Compliance Savvy: You understand regulatory requirements related to HR data and systems.

    Responsibilities:

    Strategic Planning:

    • Develop and maintain the HRIS product vision and roadmap aligned with PriceSmart's strategic goals.
    • Identify opportunities for system enhancements to improve HR processes and data accuracy.

    Product Development:

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements.
    • Manage the HRIS product backlog, defining user stories and acceptance criteria.
    • Work with development teams to deliver high-quality HRIS features and improvements.

    Implementation and Support:

    • Oversee the implementation of new HRIS features, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
    • Provide support and training to HR and other users to ensure effective utilization of the system.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve HRIS issues, coordinating with IT and vendors as needed.

    Data Management and Reporting:

    • Ensure data integrity and security within the HRIS.
    • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide insights into HR metrics and support decision-making.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for HRIS-related inquiries and issues.
    • Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders to update them on HRIS developments and gather feedback.

    Compliance and Best Practices:

    • Ensure the HRIS complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Stay up-to-date with HRIS best practices and industry trends to continuously improve the system.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in HRIS management or HR technology roles.
    • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an Agile environment.
    • Strong understanding of HR processes and data management.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
    • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with major HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM).
    • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
