As part of a strategic transformation in their procurement department, our client is seeking a visionary Head of Procurement to lead and shape this essential function.

This is an exciting opportunity to build and lead a professional team within a matrix organization.

We are looking for a hands-on leader who is passionate about creating and implementing a vision from the ground up and driving change.

This role offers the chance to make a significant impact within a top-tier company.

The position requires three days per week in the Netherlands, with a company car provided.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, promoting best practices, optimizing spending, and collaborating with key stakeholders to develop impactful strategies.
  • Spearhead the ongoing procurement transformation, incorporating innovation and strategic thinking.
  • Develop and implement cuttingedge procurement strategies, processes, and tools.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, aligning procurement objectives with business goals across various departments.
  • Directly manage, mentor, and develop a small team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Lead key negotiations, setting new standards for value creation and cost optimization.
  • Monitor and report on progress, ensuring the achievement of strategic milestones.

Requirements:

  • A seasoned procurement or category leader with proven experience in strategic procurement and leading highimpact initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to inspire teams and stakeholders.
