- Month End and Year End close processes
- Accounting for Inventory (including appropriate adjustments)
- Assist Controller and management with Budgeting and Forecasting
- Assist Controller with department overhead reporting (budget vs. actual)
- Fixed Asset Accounting
- Assist Controller and management with Budgeting and Forecasting (Department Overhead, Material, Direct Labor, Payroll, Capital Expenditures, Cash Flow)
- Assisting the Controller with various audits
- Associate Degree in Accounting or two years plus of relevant bookkeeping experience
- Understanding of and experience with the workflow of accounting process in a manufacturing environment
- Computer literate and proficient with QuickBooks and MS Word and Excel
- Personable, self-confident, and able to network effectively with all employees
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Independent at problem-solving
- Manage multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of accounting functions and procedures
- Ability to work in a high-volume fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet frequent deadlines and tight schedules
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and PowerPoint
- Prior experience working at a defense contractor or automotive industry
- Experience with Wide Area Work Flow
