Job Description: Business Analyst

The office of the CIO is seeking to hire a Senior Business Analyst (BA) to perform business process analysis, process modeling, functional design, and document solution recommendations. The BA will provide systems support for automated business applications by serving as a liaison between the business end users and application developers. This role is a member of a cross-functional delivery team and may at times be asked to support testing, solutions, technical design, or other functions as the team identifies needs. The BA in this role will role model analyst best practices, provide input into process changes and standards, and provide coaching and mentoring to other BAs as directed by leadership.

Qualifications:

· System design and analysis

· Needs assessment techniques

· Quality service standards

· Specification development and writing

· Process modeling and diagramming techniques

· Requirements elicitation

· Facilitation to solve problems

· Conveying users perspective to technical people in technical language and technical perspective to users in non-technical language;

· Using logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches

· Conducting tests to determine whether equipment, software, or procedures are operating as expected

· Reorganizing information to get a better approach to problems or tasks.

· Ability to communicate information to others, orally and in writing

· Experience on applications integrating with Hyland's Onbase software;

· Experience on Statewide retirement applications;

· Experience with systems using DocuSign or Adobe Sign.
