    Position Title: Retail Lending Manager Department: Customer Experience Reports To: Senior Customer Experience Manager Overtime Exemption: Exempt

    Scope of Work

    The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the banks Residential Lending Officers and Consumer Loan Originators. Under the general direction of the SVP, Senior Customer Experience Manager, this position oversees and directs the operations of the Retail Lending teams to ensure fulfillment of strategic initiatives and business goals. This role will promote the bank and its lending services with key constituents in the residential lending space within our communities, ensuring consistent delivery of our customer experience.

    Essential Functions (3)

    Supports Retail Lending Product Strategy & Performance o Collaborates with the Senior Customer Experience Manager and other key stakeholders to support the creation of and fulfillment of product strategies for our residential lending products inclusive of mortgages, HELOCs and home equity loans. o Conducts annual market reviews of our competitors, real estate brokers, builders and key stakeholders that capture competitive information, industry trends and consumer patterns in our region to inform ongoing strategies and customer-focused solutions. o Responsible for reviewing and communicating monthly and quarterly performance reporting to ensure progress towards goals, identify barriers and make adjustments as necessary to maximize profitability. o Works with key stakeholders such as underwriting, processing and closing using a continuous improvement mindset to identify ideas for key changes to our products and process to increase appeal, reduce friction, and improve new sales.

    Retail Lending Customer Experience (CX) Delivery o Collaborates with the Senior Customer Experience Manager on: ? Identifying the key residential lending touchpoints for our residential lending products and services and defining the CX expectations for successful delivery on a continuous basis. ? Developing and evolves the processes, policies, training and expectations that will ensure best possible outcomes and delivery of our CX. ? Evaluating technology, processes and new products to ensure the bank is delivering the highest level of customer experience via over the phone, digital platforms, and in person. ? Ensuring the banks communications, processes and delivery of CX is provided at the highest level with various real estate related professionals (brokers, builders, attorneys, etc.).

    Retail Lending Team Oversight o Ensures team members communications with consumers and applicants are timely and originated in compliance with all regulatory requirements. o Maintains detailed knowledge of lending regulations and expertise necessary to ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements while staying informed of upcoming regulatory landscape changes. o Works closely with the management of operations departments to ensure a close working relationship between teams and promotes an open and collaborative one-team environment. o Ensures regulatory and compliance policies are adhered to and staff training is completed in a timely manner.

    Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Experience with loan operating systems, particularly Encompass Knowledge of secondary mortgage market investor requirements, in particular, FHLMC Experience with Fiserv Navigator and Director Displays high level of regard for trust and confidentiality Proficient in Microsoft Office Products Displays strong written and verbal communication skills Displays strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task to meet established deadlines Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Effectively uses analytical skills to solve technical, as well as, non-technical problems Prior knowledge of regulations within the financial services industry is preferred Ability to adapt to change

    Desired Job Experience: 3 years of related experience in residential origination, processing, or underwriting Experience in a professional, service focused and fast-paced environment

    Desired Education: High school or General Education Diploma NMLS registration required

    Working Conditions/Minimum Physical Requirements: Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer and other office equipment Lifting and moving of moderately heavy objects on occasion Normally seated for extended periods of time
