JOB DESCRIPTION:
Water engineering in the broader sense includes all construction measures for the use and regulation of surface waters.

The daily work in water engineering is often very varied, as work sometimes takes place in an administrative office if documentation or work documents need to be created.

Otherwise, you will travel to various locations with waterways over time and perform various tasks such as:


  • Maintenance, upkeep, and natural redesign of water bodies
  • Construction and maintenance of flood protection facilities
  • Removal of flood damage

TRAINING:

  • The dual training starts every year and lasts for 3 years
  • Divided into theoretical and practical training phases
  • Theory: Vocational Training Center (BBIZ) Koblenz and Lower Saxony State Enterprise for Water Management, Coastal and Island Protection
  • Practice: Siegbetriebshof in Eitorf

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum secondary school diploma type 10 A or equivalent qualification

SALARY:
