    Description
    Our Client is seeking a highly qualified Chief Estimator with extensive experience in commercial construction to join our team.

    The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success working directly for a commercial General Contractor and possess proficiency in various aspects of construction management, including quantity takeoffs, estimating, scheduling, purchasing, inspections, quality control, and stakeholder relations.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Interpret and analyze commercial construction plans, general conditions, and specifications.
    • Identify and assess factors impacting project work, including inspection and testing requirements, time constraints, insurance obligations, and other project-specific details.
    • Solicit bids from subcontractors and effectively communicate project requirements.
    • Develop tentative project schedules based on specification requirements, site conditions, and approval lead times.
    • Conduct accurate quantity takeoffs to verify pricing from subcontractors.
    • Estimate materials, labor, and equipment needed for project completion.
    • Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including Owners, design professionals, and subcontractors.
    • Familiarity with AIA documents.
    • Proficient in computer software relevant to construction estimating.
    • Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial construction estimating for a General Contractor.
