    Heavy Civil Chief Estimator

    Salary :
    $150,000 - $200,000


    Are you an experienced and highly skilled Estimator with a passion for civil construction projects? We are seeking a dynamic individual to join one of Georgia's top heavy civil construction companies as Chief Estimator.

    As a key player in their growing organization, you will have the opportunity to lead and contribute to the success of their pipeline projects.


    Responsibilities:


    Lead the estimation process for civil construction projects, with a specific focus on civil site construction and underground utility projects.

    Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to gather project details and requirements.
    Analyze project plans and specifications to develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates.
    Conduct thorough material take-offs and quantify labor requirements.
    Utilize industry knowledge and expertise to identify potential risks and challenges in project estimation.
    Prepare and present detailed estimates, including breakdowns of costs and project timelines.
    Stay current with industry trends, pricing, and construction methods to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.

    Qualifications:
    A minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating civil construction projects.
    Specialized expertise in estimating earthwork and underground utility projects is essential.
    Proven track record of successfully estimating and securing projects in a competitive market.
    Proficiency in HCSS and Agtek is preferred.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
    Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    Proficiency in relevant software and tools for project estimation.
    Thorough understanding of industry regulations, codes, and standards.

    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
