We are a city in the Rhein-Neckar district with approximately 16,000 inhabitants and a well-developed infrastructure and high recreational value.

We are currently seeking a full-time Urban Planner (m/f/d) for our Department of City Planning.


The main responsibilities include:

  • Conducting amendment procedures for land use plans
  • Preparation and modification of development plans
  • Conducting statutory procedures
  • Supervision and implementation of measures in redevelopment areas
  • Management of project developments
  • Management of the cycling network
  • Participation in traffic planning
  • Management of the urban planning ecological compensation account
  • Review of planning requirements in building permit procedures

We expect:

  • A completed degree (university degree) in urban planning/architecture, spatial planning or a comparable field relevant to the job profile
  • Administrative experience
  • Experience in implementing projects in the field of urban planning
  • Organizational skills
  • Flexibility and ability to cooperate
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to work with various stakeholders
  • Experience in public relations
  • IT skills in office communication and presentation techniques
  • Experience working with CAD and possibly geoinformation programs
