    Senior SDET

    Location: 100% Remote

    Contract to Hire, Long term Contract


    Job Description:

    We are supporting a Senior Director in the Quality Assurance space, who is looking for a talented, Senior SDET.

    Our client is currently going through a cloud migration of one of their systems into AWS. They need a Rockstar Sr. SDET that can help them get there. Having experience with programming/coding is super important and our client loves seeing CS degrees.

    Our client is looking for someone that has done both back end and front end automation, with Java/Selenium and Java/REST Assured, respectively.

    Some knowledge of constructing SQL queries will also be required.


    Must-Haves (please do not send candidates that do not meet these criteria):


    • Demonstrated hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and testing applications running on cloud technologies
    • Demonstrated knowledge of cloud components and architecture (preferably AWS and core services such as ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, etc.)
    • Understanding and ability to describe and critique application architectures
    • Hands-on experience and ability to develop UI and API automated tests and frameworks (e.g., Rest Assured, Selenium, Cucumber, etc.,)
    • Experience executing and implementing QA strategies that include all functional and nonfunctional quality assurance considerations
    • Expertise with object-oriented programming (Java, JavaScript, or Python preferred - Pytest) and prior experience with application or automation framework development
    • Expertise implementing tests with modern automated testing tools (e.g., Pytest, Playwright, Karate, etc.), frameworks, and patterns
    • Ability to independently design and create test strategies for complex software
    • Ability to manage/lead QA teams and mentor/develop Software Development Engineers in Test
    • Ability to create, execute, debug, and analyze automated load and performance tests
    • Ability to develop automated tests using mocks/stubs
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Able to work with light supervision (optional for Senior SDET IC role)
    • Demonstrable experience seeking out information and learning through self-research
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Required Skills


    • Ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders including team members, team leads, and senior leadership
    • Prior experience estimating and prioritizing work
    • Ability to make decisions with partial or limited data
    • Ability to assess, communicate, mitigate and escalate risks when necessary

    Nice-to-Haves:


    • Foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning
    • Foundational knowledge of application security testing
    • Hands-on DevOps skills (e.g. Jenkins)
