    JOB SUMMARY.

    As Quality Engineer II at Marki Microwave you will play a key role in overseeing and improving all aspects of quality that ensure our world-class products are delivered on time and at the highest levels of quality and reliability. The successful candidate is an experienced professional with a thorough knowledge of quality practices and principles as applied to an electronics manufacturing environment. You will own improving supplier and customer quality levels, implementing quality processes that yield highest operational excellence, managing company quality control systems, conducting audits, overseeing continual improvement activities, and leading investigations to address quality issues and non-conformances.

    This role will require access to access information controlled under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR, 15 CFR §§ ,and likely the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR, 22 CFR §§ , and so applicants for this position must be one of a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or other Protected Individual (as defined under 8 USC § 1324b(a)(3)).

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Own supplier and customer quality metrics; analyze and correct variations in product performance to ensure highest quality and reliability.
    • Address customer issues as a priority and manage the overall non-conformance process using industry accepted methods (RMA, CAR8D, 5-Why, DOE, FA).
    • Achieve quality objectives by continually improving quality performance.
    • Develop and implement standards and controls to monitor and analyze quality performance. Validate processes by collecting and analyzing data, and drive actions from your conclusions and recommendations.
    • Drive quality improvement programs including Quality Action Plans, FMEA, Lean, 5S and 6-Sigma.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure Marki quality specifications are met and maintained. Identify and drive cost-effective improvements to Marki's overall product quality.
    • Manage quality documents, including manuals, plans, procedures, drawings, and work instructions to ensure compliance to company quality standards and external contractual requirements.
    • Work with Quality colleagues and management to drive audit activities required to remain compliant with industry standards, including ISO 9001, MIL-STD, and customer-specific reliability requirements. Conduct audits, develop corrective actions, identify solutions, and drive improvements.
    • Take a lead role to communicate and coach employees in Marki quality goals, systems and processes.
    • Promote an ethics-based business culture in the organization.
    • Lead Quality Change Control Board meetings; follow through on actions from ECN, MRB, iCAR & CAR8D activities.
    • Manage and drive actions on vendors' RMAs.
    • Write corrective actions and disposition reports.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum 2-3 years' experience as Quality Engineer in an electronics manufacturing environment

    TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

    • Deep knowledge of electronics industry quality standards (ISO9001, MIL-STD, JEDEC) and procedures (APQP, FMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans, First Article Inspections, Measurement System Analysis); experience with high reliability products is a definite advantage.
    • Understanding of 5S, 6-sigma or Lean manufacturing techniques is highly desirable.
    • Proactive and self-motivated. Excellent teamwork and leadership skills to promote a high-quality culture and mindset.
    • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
    • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

You need to be able to listen to understand how to best communicate with someone.
